I went into the Teen Book Festival not knowing what to expect other than a good time. What I came away with was nothing short of phenomenal. From the opening welcome to the thousands of teenage attendees to the standing-room-only panels, everything about TBF was celebratory, festive and fun. The attendees, whether teens or parents, were all energetic and excited to be at TBF, and the TBF staff members — amazing librarians, educators, and students — were enthusiastic and helpful. I’ve made new friendships from TBF, and new opportunities have sprung up as well. The festival truly celebrates the readers as well as the authors, turning a love of reading into something magical.
